Hello. I am very interested in fishing with you guys. I am in the process of setting up a boat and was hoping to get some pointers from you. Can someone recommend the best batteries for trolling all day? I am looking to get a 80lb 24v trolling motor. Is there a big difference between the $100 and $250 batteries? I was looking at the vmax batteries and wondering if they were worth the money.

    Thanks in advance!

For Dustan; Yes, you would need some type of live well system that's aerated even if it's a good size cooler as long as you can keep your catch alive and released by end of tourney you should be good.

Hey guys, we are at the halfway point of the season, and I can say that I am glad I'm fishing this trail in 2016! I have really enjoyed fishing with you guys, and glad to see some of my old tournament fishing friends fishing as well... Life just wouldn't be the same without getting to see you guys every year. Hope the rest of the season is as good as the first half!

Looking for a boater partner for the rest of the season. Long story short, sold my boat a few years back,, moved to the coast and came back looking to get back on the tournament trail. Fished HVBA before I left with some success.

Blast off at 7am, weigh in at 3pm. Membership is $35 per person. Entry fee is $50 for 2 man team and $35 if fishing solo. We will continue with the raffles this year......tickets are $5 each. If you haven't already registered online yet, either do so today or print it off and have it filled out when you pay, we are expecting a good turn out and it will help things go quicker. See yall saturday morning.

What are the beginning and ending times for the tourneys?

  • #5

    Brandon (Sunday, 11 January 2015 21:00)

Our club has never fished there but I have fished a couple tourneys there and the lake and biggest the area to park 20 trucks with boat trailers plus local fisherman just isn't there. But it is a beautiful lake. Crystal clear mountain water.

The rotation for what weeks we fish will stay the same but as far as what lakes are on what date, we can't promise anything.

I was wondering if the schedule is going to be the same next year me and my partner are still in high school and we won't be able to fish until next year and is there a age requirement?
